And now, our fashionable friends from the Dallas Morning News!

That would be Tracy Hayes (left), Courtney Perry (photographer) and darling Jackie Bolin (far right). Always in the forefront of fashion, their shoes were worthy of an extra pic below (Tracy's cream platforms are on the right):

A Cupcake of a Great Time!!!

Those Sprinkles cupcakes are really something!!! We tried the cinnamon sugar, vanilla (lordie, must have had an inch of icing!), dark chocolate, lemon coconut and red velvet...yummm!!! We are in sugar shock, and also in shock over the amazing pieces Jeanine brought to the show, which were gobbled up at the rate of the cupcakes. Thanks soooo much for coming, and we hope the morning sickness will subside.

A Night to Benefit Children of the Homeless

(for once this is not my pic....no cameras allowed. credit: Dallas Morning News)

The Vogel Alcove in Dallas improves the lives of young children of the homeless, through child care and education, while their parents transition to independent living. Last evening was the major fundraiser, with Kenny Loggins as the guest entertainer. He was amazing (still blasting it out at age 59, which we couldn't believe), and the concert was a sell-out, which raised a record for The Vogel Alcove. Congrats to friends Tom & Kathy Corcoran who chaired.

April 23

Our school auction was a blast Saturday night, with a trip down memory lane with the band "Chicago". Speaking of memory lane, today is the 27th anniversary of Charles & I getting engaged. Another lucky "23" day....

The Tragedy at Virginia Tech

As a parent of a college sophomore, it is really hard to fathom this tragic event. I can only hope that the victims are remembered more than the act of violence, and that changes are made in our society, especially on college campuses, to deal with mental illness. Enough said.

Temple St Clair: An Angel in our Midst!

And our party for Temple to honor the Jr. League of Dallas.....
We had just the loveliest trunk show and visit from Temple St Clair and her assistant, Melissa who both jetted in from New York. Known for her angels and amulets, we had soooo many people stop by to meet her and shop the show. Thanks so much for coming! Sorry about the hail and the hotel's tornado alarm!

Hail yes! It's Hailing!

Welcome to Texas folks, where a surprise hail storm blew threw. The dirty, chunky stuff was quite noisy, but didn't cause any damage. As they say in Texas, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute!
Not a welcome sight for Temple St Clair, but the show went on!

Passover is Finished; Time to D I E T!!!!!

In a near reincarnation of my Mother's kitchen (of blessed memory), I attacked her great Passover recipes and now must live with the consequences. Cookies, Latkes, Sponge Cake, Brownies, Mandelbrot and yes, even faux Passover Oatmeal cookies, we have eaten ourselves into a near cardiac arrest (that sponge cake takes 9, count 'em, 9 eggs!). And now it's time to stop, at least until next year. Hey Mom, no worries, I did it!

And what about Alysa in college? Check out her away message: Auto response from AlysaT15: staring into the distance with my top button undone because of my post-passover food coma... mmmmmmm

Off to the University of Southern California, that's USC to you.....

Oh Joy....It's that time of year when all us mama ducks worry about all the baby ducks graduating, even if they are not our baby ducks. But this very special baby duck in New York who may as well be my baby duck is going to (drumrolls pleeeeeZ). USC!!!!!!! Way to go Av!

Temple St Clair is on the way...

This is my week so welcome to it. Temple will be jetting in on Thursday and we're hosting a party for the Jr. League that evening. Stay tuned....or shop the show on line....
