Vacation Continued.....

It's always hard to decide what to take on vacation, but this I'm sure:
My Cathy Waterman platinum & diamond "23"; Temple St. Clair triple angel charms on long chain; tiny Cari dogtags with my kid's names; Beth Orduna evil eye; Cathy Waterman bangles; Ten Thousand Things earrings (tiny spikes); and of course, my Livestrong bracelet. That and a tube of suntan creme...

Cooking on Vacation with Larbi...

Oh this was just THE most glorious day of vacation...learning to cook with Larbi, the Executive Chef of Agua Restaurant, named #1 in Latin America. Larbi shared the secrets of my personal favorite, chicken, since I have long run out of ways to cook it. Am trying hard to get him to publish a book. What a talent!!! And the results? Yummy, yummy lunch...

Behold Beauty: First Grandchild...

It is an arresting image and we can only wonder what Lily is seeing and what she is thinking, but we'll have to wait until the words flow out.
Our friends have shuttled back and forth (will not disclose the location) to spend time with the first of this family's new generation, and I can't blame them.
Just had to share....Wow!

Vacation in Mexico....

It's Spring Break...my unpolished toes are enjoying the sun and the weather is glorious. Pedicure on my schedule; stay tuned...

Tattoo it on: A Mother's Love.....

My friend. Two of her loves (still looking for skin space for Love #1 who she married). And if you have any doubt, I can assure you the tatoos are permanent. Way cool mom. Awesome.

Northwestern University Dance Marathon 2007: Where's Alysa?

It's been a tiring weekend for us parents looking for one dancing child (that would be #112) at the Northwestern Dance Marathon, which lasted 30 hours, starting late Friday and ending at 1am this Sunday morning (yawn). But we did finally catch a glimpse of her...yea! Dance Marathon is a passion of Alysa's and this year she is soooooooooo happy that her sorority placed 3rd in group fundraising (which by the way raised a record $708,711.20, with its primary beneficiary, Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy, getting the bulk of it. Way to go Northwestern and Gamma Phi Beta!!!! Now we need to catch some zzzzzzzzzz's before next year's event. Want to learn more or donate? Check out the dance marathon web site.

AsterCast on the Cover of Fashions of the Times

How beautiful is that on Robin Penn....scoring the cover of one of the most fashionable publications: Fashions of the Times, published only twice a year, from the New York Times.

Kudos to designers extrordinaire Ron and David of Ten Thousand Things who collaberated with Stella + Cox.
