Putting on the Ritz...for Crystal Charity

We are excited to welcome the Ritz Carlton to Dallas, and especially happy that friend Dean Fearing (formerly of The Mansion) has opened Fearing's Restaurant. An underwriting dinner for Crystal Charity was held this evening, and all we can say is WOW!!! Naturally, Dean's Southwestern "Tres Chic" cuisine was over the top (think "BBQ Shrimp Taco with Mango and Pickled Red Onion Salad and Smoky Citrus Vinaigrette") and the Crystal Charity Fashionistas abounded. We were delighted to be seated by Dallas legend Dee Simmons and we took the opportunity to ask about her Ultimate Living products, which were featured in the business section of the Dallas Morning News. In two words: Green Miracle. Dee is 67 (yes, I have permission to flaunt her age), and if Green Miracle (from her company Ultimate Living) can do for me what it has done for her, I'm with the program. Ps. My Green Miracle is on the way, even for Charles and the pups.

Time to Go Home: Jewelry is Arriving

New merchandise is arriving left and right, including divine new things from the Waterman Studio and others, and new collections from Manak and Moritz Glik. So not reluctantly, because the new season is already cranking up and I just love the new things, it's time to get back to Dallas and get to work.

San Francisco...

Jake went to the Concours d'Elegance car show in Pebble Beach and found lots of interesting cars in the city; Alysa's friend Joey joined us for din, and before we left for Dallas, we visited the divine Chinese Wash 'n Fold laundry, which I highly recommend ($5 per pound). It will make your suitcase easier to pack, and you'll arrive home feeling all fresh and clean.

San Francisco

Be sure and visit Ripley's Believe it or Not at Fisherman's Wharf, where you may also run into "Silver Man". And Haight Ashbury is a trip, with blocks of resale clothing shops which will bring you back to the 60's.

Good Eats in Jackson Hole....

Check out The Bunnery in Jackson. Food is fresh and what can I say about the wandering clown? Jake's got his antlers on.

Fun in Wyoming....

Welcome to one of the most beautiful places on earth. I admit to enjoying a long overdue manicure while the kids are on the go. There are miles of mountain biking trails and the mountain views are amazing. Check it out at www.jacksonhole.com.

The Juggler.....

It's an appropriate day to receive Cathy Waterman's new collection of Muse charms, and "The Juggler" must have been made with me in mind. Thinking we were leaving for vacation on Saturday, an airline notification this morning caught my error and we are leaving tomorrow. Yikes!! Too much to do, pack, make the kids appointments for when we are back, approve Fall advertising, there is too much to do and my brain is in overload, but.....like the Juggler, it will all get done, and hopefully without dropping anything. Hope your summer is a bit calmer.

Designer Updates.....

It's always great to talk family with our designer friends, and our trip to New York was filled with lots of news. Jes MaHarry brought her daughter Isabella; Dana Kellin brought the whole family including husband and actor turned director Paul McCrane (that's her adorable sister Liz Kellin on the left, unattached we might add), and radiant expectant mom Jeanine Payer.
