It is easy to remember Tiffany's birthday, since it is on the 23rd of November. We were a little late, and Marwan stopped by to help us raise some champagne glasses in celebration.
While the Dallas Cowboys were on the road (defeating Washington, I might add), we were having great fun hosting their wives for a party with Heather Moore. Between makeup touch ups (courtesy of our Sephora friends) and handwriting analysis, everyone was sipping wine, nibbling treats, and busy designing their own hand stamped collection of charms. Thank you Mandy Davis for your incredible organizational skills and turnout! xox
With the best intentions of snapping lots of pictures of the installation, I blinked and the Galleria Elves beat me to it. The 95 foot tree is installed and we are just waiting for our favorite ice skating, back flipping, pyrotechnic skating Santa to light the tree next week! Stay tuned for more pics...
In the midst of Mizuki's first visit to our store and the reception is warm and activity lively for her new collection which is WOW! Check it out for yourself on our website, and stay tuned. PS. Just had to take a pic of Rick's inspired floral arrangement! WOW again!!
I am feeling old. Am I the only one who has not heard of Robert Pattinson? Well, my curiosity was definitely piqued when hundreds and then thousands of mostly teenage girls started occupying the Galleria, most outside our door. He is a PHENOM STAR from Harry Potter, and star of The Twilight, not yet out. I snagged a choice spot behind the media ropes for my friend Zoe (and my camera), and then the Mall exploded when HE appeared. Didn't escape the bedlam later at home even: Nightline covered the whole Galleria appearance, starring our friend Jeff Ells, head of Galleria Security, whom I am happy to say, managed everything incident free and is relieved that Mr. Pattinson is off to another location. Whew.
I was out for errands on Sunday and noticed this inviting open door at Candycorn's. I stopped in and just had to get some kettle corn for Jake (and some for me, me, me!!!) This is a great giftie place and I got some wonderful holiday ideas (don't tell!).
Sunday's weather was perfection (sorry to all my East Coast friends, including you, Alysa Teichman)...and this march for breast cancer seemed to go on for miles. My feet might not have participated but from my own experience 6 years ago, my heart was with all these participants. You go girls!!!
Jamie Lee Curtis is amazing (and does a terrific bawling baby imitation). Her new children's book, "Big Words for Little People" is just out, and I decided that, rather than catch her speaking engagement at a ladies luncheon (yawn!!), I would rather enjoy a book reading at Barnes & Noble, snagging a few signed copies for friends, and best of all, a hug. It was a wonderful change from what I normally do, and well worth bumping elbows (and knees) with the younger set.
I just couldn't help but publish this great inspiration from a fellow blogger, Lotuspod, who has nailed the look with these black diamond Cathy Waterman earrings. Thanks for including us!
